Privacy Policy · Last updated 24 July 2026
ClearBee is built to keep your photos private. It scans and cleans up your photo library entirely on your device. We do not run servers that receive your data, we have no accounts, and we collect no analytics. This policy explains exactly how your information is handled.
Nothing. ClearBee has no user accounts, no sign-up, and no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not receive, store, or have access to your photos, videos, extracted text, notes, or any personal data.
All analysis — blur detection, duplicate detection, black-and-white detection, RAW handling, and text recognition (OCR) — happens on your device. Your photos and videos are never uploaded to us or to any third party. ClearBee only ever moves items you choose into an album inside Apple Photos for your review; it never deletes anything for you.
When you use the Screenshots & Text tool, text is recognised from your screenshots on device and saved as notes on your device.
Your notes, app settings, and scan cache sync across your own Apple devices using Apple iCloud (CloudKit) in your private iCloud database, under your Apple ID. This data stays within Apple’s infrastructure and your iCloud account — we have no access to it. Its handling is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
On supported devices, ClearBee can use Apple Intelligence (Apple’s on-device Foundation Models) to write clearer titles, summaries, and categories for your notes. This runs entirely on your device. No note content is sent to us or to any third party.
If you tap “Add to Calendar” on a note, ClearBee uses write-only calendar access to add that single event. It cannot read your calendar.
ClearBee Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Apple via the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Purchase validation uses Apple’s StoreKit.
ClearBee includes no third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection SDKs.
Because your data lives only on your device and in your own iCloud, you are always in control. You can clear your notes in the app at any time, and deleting ClearBee removes its on-device data. To remove synced data, delete it in the app or manage it in your iCloud settings.
ClearBee is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone.
If we update this policy, we will revise the date above and post the new version at this page.
